Workshop to focus on how to apply for Cultural Facilities and Capital Resources Grants

11/27/02

The West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History will host a free workshop next month to provide information to the public about grants available through its Cultural Facilities and Capital Resources Grant (CFCRG) program. The program awards matching grants for construction, renovation or purchase of performance and exhibition spaces, and for purchase of equipment for these facilities.

The workshop will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Cultural Center in the State Capitol Complex. Attendees will receive information about grant eligibility requirements, application guidelines, and tips for preparing successful grant applications.

The session is open to the public. No reservations are required.

For more information about the workshop or the grants, call Rose McDonough at (304) 558-0240, ext. 152. The CFCRG program is funded through proceeds from the West Virginia Lottery.
