The West Virginia Archives and History Commission will hold a special meeting on Friday, March 24. The meeting will begin at noon in the Green Room of the Cultural Center, State Capitol Complex. The public is welcome to attend; however there will be an executive session to consider the proposed “Settlement Agreement and Agreed Order of Dismissal” (Civil Action No. 05-C-189 in the circuit court of Logan County) regarding the Battle of Blair Mountain nomination to the National Register of Historic Places. The proposed settlement is the only agenda item.
The executive session will be conducted as permitted by WV Code §6-9A. Following the executive session, there will be a vote to re-open the meeting for consideration of, and action if necessary, on the specific matters discussed in executive session.
