Hampshire Apple Pie For Senator Humphrey

Senator Hubert Humphrey, of Minnesota, Democratic presidential candidate, was the recipient of one of Mary French Milleson's apple pies. The presentation was made at a luncheon in the Romney Methodist Church on April 26.
Mary French Milleson, a senior at Romney High School, placed second in the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival's Fourth Annual Apple Pie Baking Contest held at James Wood High School April 28. She received an electric clock, complimentary tickets to the Queen's Cornation [sic] and Fireman's Parade. . . .
