Robert Kennedy, brother of presidential hopeful John F. Kennedy and former chief counsel for the Senate Rackets Committee, was a member of crowd yesterday that heard Senator Hubert Humphrey speak outside the post office building in downtown Wheeling.

Before he left, the younger Kennedy took advantage of the throng to do a little handshaking of his own.

There was one casualty in the crowd that jammed its way into the area surrounding the post office here yesterday to hear Sen. Humphrey.

One of the high-stepping majorettes of Wheeling High School's marching band that supplied the music for the program felt the effects of the hot sun and heat and nearly blacked out before she was helped from the street.

The Wheeling High Band and its director James DeLois drew high words of praise from the Senator from Minnesota.

Representatives of leading newspapers and wire services who were absent during the morning portion of Sen. Humphrey's panhandle tour yesterday joined the Humphrey cavalcade about noon in downtown Wheeling.

The newsmen, after covering the debate in Charleston the day before, passed up the early-morning part of the tour through Weirton, Wellsburg and Bethany but were on hand for the rest of the day. . . .

When Senator Hubert Humphrey was presented with the key to the city in Weirton yesterday by Mayor David T. Frew, his first comments were "this is big enough to get into anything."

He then laughed as he said, "I've made quite a collection of keys. I even forgot to turn in my hotel room key," and reached into his pocket to display it.
