I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 20th inst, and to state that as the war is over, I presume the Board of Enrollment will soon be dissolved, when I can return to my home, there to remain in peace and quiet- and devote a portion of my time. To other duties outside of this office, in view of this, I take please in withdrawing the offer of my resignation.
