Biographican Note: Richard Lanham and Mildred "Millie" Craigo Goff Lanham were married. Anna Mae Lanham, born in 1879, married Henry Wise Thurston (born 1861) in 1908; Henry died in 1932, and Anna Mae in 1968. Their children included Hazel Irene Thurston Gillespie (1910-1987), who married Harold Peebles Gillespie in 1942; Inez Thurston Simmons (1912-2008), who married William Harold Simmons (1923-1989); and Elwood "Dick" Thurston (1914-unknown), who married Velma Kay Thurston. Inez and William Harold Simmons had two daughters: June Elaine Simmons (1945-2022), who married Skidmore, and Judy Camille Simmons (born 1942), who married Pierce. Another child, Macel Thurston, died of polio, and Joyce Thurston's birthdate, marriage, and death information are unknown.
Scope and Content: The collection contains family photographs from the Thurston family.
