A DELEGATION
February 5, 1864
A DELEGATION consisting of an officer from each company of the Second Virginia Cavalry, arrived in this city last evening. We learn that the object of their mission is to obtain a thirty days' furlough for the brave soldiers under their command.
We have no doubt the request will be granted. "Forewarned is forearmed," is an old adage, and we hope it will be heeded by our people. Let the soldiers have a reception before they are here a week.
