Reports In Reference To Affairs At Romney. - We learn from passengers who arrived last evening from Cumberland that a report was current there on Monday evening that the rebels had attacked the town of Romney and driven our forces out of the town. Yesterday morning, however, another report reached Cumberland that a foraging party, numbering one hundred and fifty men and nine wagons, had gone out from Romney, and being attacked by the rebels, were all captured. In view of these several reports it would be well to make due allowance for exaggerations. The whole story may turn out a hoax.
