October 29, 1864
A Model Parole. - A West Virginia correspondent of the Springfield Republican furnishes a copy of a form of parole given by a rebel guerilla leader to a loyal man in Wayne county, Virginia as follows:
"Virginia, ss., Wayne Co. I_______________ ______________do solemnly swear that I will not for the space of ninety days take up arms against the Suthen Confederacy nor ade to tak any on em prisoners and that I will remane at my home and keep the pease now and all times and not give infurmashun to the enemy nor fee and cloth them so help mee god ______________ ________________given under my hand this 28th day Aug 1864.
Wm. Smith Co. comma'ng."
