Remember...Edgar G. Adams

Army Pvt. Edgar Adams, listed for Monongalia County, was inducted into the service in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, on March 17, 1943. Details of his life are extremely sketchy, but the U.S. Army World War II Enlistment Records, 1938-1946, database indicates he had completed four years of high school and was single at the time of his enlistment.
A private in the 157th Infantry, 45th Division, Edgar was killed in action on December 22, 1943. For his actions, Pvt. Adams was awarded the Purple Heart. He was interred at the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery in Nettuno, Italy, Plot B, Row 11, Grave 25.
