He also was in West Liberty on April 19. Hubert Humphrey made a campaign stop in Wheeling on May 5. Muriel Humphrey came on April 26. Roberty Kennedy was in Wheeling on May 5. On behalf of the Humphrey campaign, Joseph Dillon, mayor of St. Paul, visited Wheeling on April 25 and 26, while Orville Freeman, governor of Minnesota, visited on May 1. |
